Be (not) Afraid is a short visual novel. The game can be played in just 5–8 minutes, but that's long enough to make the player truly antsy. There is a figure who is alone, and you will wonder if he really hears... the voice of God.
The whole game is based on a single talk between you and something you think is divine. Over time, the voice gets weird, the words of comfort become less reassuring, and the mood goes from respect to obsession. Be (not) Afraid asks: How can faith be used to make people afraid?
Be (not) Afraid doesn't need jump scares; it's creepy enough just by saying sweet things in your ear that no one wants to hear.
