Don't Stare is a narrative-driven stealth platformer about surviving a world full with extroverts who want to converse. After a terrible party, the Introvert must explore a hand-drawn city to reconcile a broken social circle.
You avoid extroverts, pushy salespeople, loud strangers, and screaming babies who sap your social energy, not monsters. The stealth is fast yet forgiving, promoting experimentation over punishment.
The game's unique mechanic is eye contact. Making or breaking eye contact with extroverts activates their special powers, which can help or impede you. Moving forward requires knowing when to look and when not to.
Don't Stare includes jumping, climbing, sliding, bouncing, and flipping. An optional parkour system provides faster, more stylish traversal at greater danger for mastery gamers.
You can progress safely or dangerously through levels that support careful movement and bold, expressive playstyles.
