In Helping Your Boyfriend, consider being committed to a doctor who is extremely gorgeous, wealthy, and attentive. The only problem? You have a nasty leg injury and are utterly bedridden, isolated from the outside world, and completely reliant on him for your everyday requirements.
This ostensibly protective family structure becomes the basis for a claustrophobic psychological nightmare in Helping Your Boyfriend. You are Nina (name, pronouns, and body type customisable), living in a large, isolated home with Adrien Winchester. He works at the clinic, and your daily job is an odd one, meant to keep your restless mind occupied. You disassemble and reassemble old vintage dolls. It all feels like a harmless habit until the delicate illusion of safety is shattered. One night you wake up to an invader holding you to the mattress with the scary choice of swallowing a mystery medication or being killed on the spot. The masked man removes his mask, revealing himself to be Ian Winchester, Adrien's younger brother. He says he is also a victim of your " perfect " boyfriend.

Helping Your Boyfriend is a normal visual novel with point-and-click adventure and timed challenges added to it. The control method is very intuitive and is focused mainly on mouse interactions:
The interactive dialogue bits are a masterclass in psychological dread and gaslighting, aided by some excellent voice acting. Adrien’s professional kindness can shift into an unpleasant possessiveness in an instant. You have to catch the most subtle clues to survive, like the strange phone number Nina has scrawled on her arm or Adrien’s gruesome tales of tumours with hair and teeth in the hospital. Are you going to take the medicine the stranger offers you? Will you hide the key evidence and interrogate Adrien over his treatment's inconsistencies?
The story forks into 4 radically different endings dependent on your crucial choices. Helping Your Boyfriend takes numerous playthroughs to uncover the dark lies behind your home imprisonment. Each route is a condensed thirty-minute playtime with a straightforward save/skip mechanism to lure you back for more. With over a hundred bespoke CGs and lush scenery, Helping Your Boyfriend is sure to keep you entertained.
