You have to go through a series of tests in Aephemera to see if you're a good candidate. You have no idea why you're running. But it seems pretty important and has something to do with a strange being that shows up every once in a while.
You'll be tested on a variety of cognitive skills, such as your ability to learn, remember, and observe. There are some big differences between them. You need to be careful to stay calm during all of them. Moving your mouse makes you more excited, and leaving it still makes you less excited. You will have to start over if you go above or below the right levels.
There are a lot of scary analog games out there now, but Aephemera is without a doubt one of the best. It doesn't use tired, old, and messed-up pictures; instead, it focuses on new ideas. It holds your attention for a long time thanks to its simple graphics, creepy sound effects, and smart mouse-based gameplay.
