No big guns. No magical powers. No heroic plot armor. In Shadow Tag, you are an average person stuck in an unusual nightmare, caught in a game of life and death where the dark swallows the line between hunter and prey.
Compared to classic survival horror titles that arm you with weapons to fight back, Shadow Tag cuts away all forms of protection. Alone with a weak flashlight and a dying battery.
The real horror of the game is in how it messes with your senses:
W, A, S, D: Move (Forward, Left, Backward, Right)

Surviving Shadow Tag takes some serious pressure-fighting to figure out your counter moves. The basic techniques to survive are as follows:
Make a Map in Your Mind
The fastest way to lose is to panic. The same hedge barriers are meant to confuse you, especially in low-light conditions. Remember certain specific bends, chart your way, and don’t just randomly meander back into dead ends.
Exercise Strict Flashlight Control
Batteries only provide a temporary solution. Make every moment of light count. Flip on the lights for a moment to find out where you are going, or see what you need to get, then flip it off again to save power. When the battery is fully empty, your chances of survival drop dramatically.
Use Sound as Your Early Warning System
The ghostly children warn before they strike. You can’t tell how far away they are because of the spooky acoustics, but you should stop and think tactically the moment you hear them. Slow down, go a different way, think of an exit route.
Keep the Focus on Critical Goals
Do not meander or indulge in needless exploration. Just the car keys and the fuel and the map. Identify one of the necessary items, and immediately alter your mental path toward your vehicle.
Shadow Tag is not a measure of firepower; it is an unrelenting test of nerves. Each breath you take. Each beam of your flashlight. Each split-second decision to turn left or right could be the last.
