We Become What We Behold is a one-of-a-kind 5-minute game that has the player use their camera to record the news. It's like a quick 5-minute point-and-click game where we become news cycles, nasty cycles, and endless cycles. Figure out how the squares and circles work by taking pictures of things.
This one-of-a-kind 5-minute game has the player use their camera to record the news. The rest of the Squares and Circles story is shaped by what is put in the frame and what is left out. To begin, record small misunderstandings between a circle and a square. Then, watch how your choices make things worse between the larger groups of circles and squares. You could say that the game shows how social media makes small differences seem like huge problems.
People from different groups are in the game. There are a couple in love, a man with a hat, an angry man, and a cricket in the group who aren't quite there yet.
The man in the hat is one of the first people to get into "normal peeps." Every picture of a normal person doesn't look good when shown. It's hard not to take a picture of him. Photograph the man with the hat. When the other characters see the picture, they all want to wear hats.
The chain response is clear when you take a picture of a normal peep wearing a hat. Everyone stops wanting to wear hats all of a sudden.
When you put a picture of a couple in love on the internet, they will soon be shamed. It's also unlikely that you'll see many loving couples walking around much anymore. Who watches to see people get along, after all?
This is where things get interesting. If you don't need to picture the person being angry, you will be told to "catch 'em while they're doing something." They only yell, which is what you're looking for. The news goes crazy when you take a picture of them yelling. This is also known as "crazed square attacks."
After taking angry pictures, it's tough to return to routine. As time goes on, normal people will start to avoid each other and be afraid of each other. This will cause the squares and circles to turn against each other. It's bad for normal people when they turn red. If you take a picture of this, anger and hatred start to build up until they reach a violent peak.
Have fun and good luck!
