About Idols of Ash
Idols of Ash begins with a poor idea: exploring a forbidden location. A vast, ancient underground environment thousands of meters below the surface is dark and uncomfortable. Something is hunting you, adding to the excitement.
How to play Idols of Ash
Idols of Ash is about exploration and descent. Ancient, disintegrating stone and shadow building thousands of meters below the surface. Just get to the bottom.
You're not alone. The neighborhood calls them "Murderpedes"—a huge, chittering centipede that tracks your every move in the tunnels. Hunts, not follows. Death occurs when you stop moving.
- Slow down: Rushing through dark passageways makes you regret your choices immediately. Move slowly and watch your surroundings.
- Listen: Sound is crucial. Hear something strange? It's probably not your imagination.
- Avoid panicking: Hard to do, yet panicking frequently leads to trouble. Consider, then act.
- Check everything: Idols, objects, and strange nooks may have clues. Even disturbing stuff. Especially disturbing stuff.
- Focus: The game toys with your head more as you go deeper. Keep or act to be calm.

- Find the Aqueduct: In the mid-game, find a hidden gate near the center pillar to reach the water-logged levels, which are faster but more perilous.
